Department of Hindi

                                    The Department of Hindi was established in 1977 with inception of the College. The Department has a heritage of great scholars as the Head of the Department. Dr. B.S. Patil was the first Head of the Department. Initially it was thought as one of the basic subject and later on as one of the 03 subjects and of equal importance.

Aims and Objectives:

1) To create awareness of Hindi as National Language of India so students should be motivated to study this language.

2) To upgrade the knowledge of Hindi language and literature in the context of three language formula

3) To develop a sense of social and national responsibility.

4) To improve the communication skills of students.

5) Inclusion of grammar will enable students to perfect their writing skills, which in the long run will help them in their career.

Annual report 2019-2020

  • Hindi Day( हिन्दी दिवस ) was celebrated on 14 September, 2019. Principal Dr M S Patil was Presided over the function. And Shree V C Hiremath Chairman of our College gave Inaugural speech.

 

  • 140th Munshi Premchand Jayanti was celebrated on 31st July, 2019 Principal Dr M S Patil gave presidential remark on Premchand Jayanti and said that there is a lot of contribution of Munshi Premchand to Hindi literature and also his novels and stories have a special place not only in the country, but in the hearts of readers all over the world.                                                                                 

 

  • Hindi singing competition (हिन्दी गायन स्पर्धा) organized by department of Hindi was on September 19, 2019. Totally 30 students were participated in this competition. Three winners were selected and the First Place goes to Nasrin banu Kochbal, second place Musakan Jahageerada and third place Amina Dalayat. Cash prize was given to winners.

 

  • Kabir Jayanti, was celebrated on 5 June in 2019. Dr M S Patil Principal gave presidential remarks. Kabir Prakat Diwas, is celebrated to commemorate the manifestation of  Saint Kabir Das Ji, a famous poet and mystic saint in India.

 

  • 523rd Tulsidas Jayanti 27th July2019: Goswami Tulsidas Jayanti was celebrated on 27th July 2019. He was one of a great Hindu saint.

 

  • Self written poem (स्व लिखित कविता) program was organized by Dept of Hindi on 6th August 2019.Three winners were selected and the first winner is Sangamesh Katti, second is Sharukhan Mulla and third is Namaz Katti.

 

  • Folklore in Hindi (लोक-साहित्य ) function was organized on 25th September 2019 and Pricnipal Dr.M.S.Patil was precided over the function and local folklore singers were invited to the function.

 

  • Special lecture was organised on /0 /2019 at 11.00 am. Resource person Dr. T S Meharvade delivered a lecture on “IMPORTANCE OF HINDI TO KANNADA TRANSLATION IN TODAY’S WORLD: FOR STUDENTS” (आज के दुनिया में अनुवाद का महत्व: छात्रों के लिए )

  • One Day National Level as an IQAC Initiative “Contemporary in Hindi poetry” on 12th July 2021 one day National level Webinar was organized. there was to resource person 1) Dr.S K Pawar professor and Chairman Department of Hindi Karnatak University, Dharwad gave a lecture on “Contemporary in Hindi poetry and women empowerment” 2) Dr.Namadev M Gowda professor, Department of Hindi, Karnataka state Women’s University, Vijayapura gave a lecture on “Contemporary Hindi poets and environment” 546 participates across the country  E- Certificates were issued to the participants.   View

  • On the occasion of India @ 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav the department had organised “Patriotic songs in Hindi” an online program.

 

  • The program was inaugurated by Prof. R V Jalawadi the Principal by singing of patriotic song on 10th August 2021. The program went for 5 Days from 10 to 15th August, 2021. 465 participants across the country participated and received E-Certificate.
