The department of statistics was established in 1978. Statistics is compulsory for B.com-II students and is offered as one of the optional subjects to BA students.
Statistics is learning from data and includes collecting, organizing, analyzing and Interpreting results. Statisticians provide the methodology for making the import decisions in physical, social science and work at various tasks such as marketing research, opinion policy, survey management, data analysis and teaching analysis technique & theories.
