The Department of Botany has been initiated in the academic year 2018-19 to equip the students with knowledge necessary skills and orient them towards research in the field of Botany. The Department offers Botany as one of the optional subject for B.Sc students. It has Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (CBZ) combinations to the students.
Objectives:
- To develop an aptitude towards Science and Nature.
- To facilitate students for taking up and sharing a successful career in Botany.
- To equip the students with the basic skills in identifying and labelling different plants.
- To sensitize the students towards the need for keeping the Environment clean and conserve our natural resources.
- To make the students to develop awareness regarding application of different plants in various industries.
