The minority cell is formed with the purpose of empowering the minority communities students. The cell basically helps minority students including Muslims, Jains, Buddhists, Christian, Sikhs etc. for their academic development.

The Nature of Activities of the Cell

The Cell is committed to provide assistance to the minority students along with Scheduled

/Scheduled Tribe students through counselling, personality development, development of

 communication skill, remedial coaching, tutorial classes, and preparatory classes for

Professional and employment purposes, etc.

Activities

       During January-March 2017 also the cell has organised a Kerala Public

Service Commission examination Coaching Programme jointly with Entry into

 Service Programme, SC/ST and OBC Cell for students of various departments.

  • During January-March 2016 the cell has organised a Kerala Public Service

 OBC Cell for students of various departments.

  • Another programme organized by the cell for minority students with the

 support of SC/ST and OBC cells to make aware of the Educational

loans & other financial aids.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To conduct the programme for disseminating the scholarship schemes provided

by governmental agencies and other sources.

  • To function as a Grievances Redressal Cell for the grievances of minority

 students to render them necessary help in solving academic as well as

administrative problems.

  • To arrange special opportunities to enhance the carrier growth of these students.
